Christmas is all around – A photography exhibition by Martin Sotelano
Christmas is the number one celebration in the UK. People, towns and businesses get ready for the season preparing amazing and creative decorations and events.
This exhibition shows some of the amazing work you can see around at Christmas. It includes images from Tredegar House and some other houses in Newport, Risca and Pontywaun in Wales; Covent Garden and the streets of London, Sheringham in Norfolk, Old Coulsdon, Glastonbury and Wells Next the Sea in England just to mention some of them.
The exhibition will be hosted during the Christmas season in Risca, Newport and Blaenavon, Torfaen in Wales. From the 18th of November until the 30th you can visit it at the Risca Palace (Risca Library – 75 Tredegar St, Risca, Newport NP11 6BW). From the 6th until 24rd of December the exhibition will be hosted in two venues: The Blaenavon World Heritage Centre & Library (Church Rd, Blaenavon NP4 9AS) and in The Old Post Office Art & Therapy Centre, also in Blaenavon (The Old Post Office, Prince Street, NP4 9XA).
Martin Sotelano is an award-winning photographer born in Argentina, living in the UK since 2007.
His work has been published by magazines including I&M, Cosmopolitan, Noticias, Fotomundo, Foto-Objetivo amongst others. He was a Professor in Palermo University (Buenos Aires, Argentina) teaching digital printing and design. Martin is the author of many books and articles related to Photography and Design. He has been working as a Photographer and Designer since 1980.
This exhibition is supported by “Smile – Blaenavon Men’s Shed Camera Club” / “Men’s Shed Cymru” (Men’s Sheds: Easing isolation and loneliness in Wales – Hafan Cymru) and the Tango Creations Photo Lab and Art & Wellbeing for Health (Promote mental, emotional health and well-being through different projects that cover Art, Therapies and Physical activities).
All images will be for sale at £ 10.- and profit will be for the Art & Wellbeing for Health Community Group.
